For Thanksgiving 2017, we asked our fans to post a special picture of their dog or dogs that shows why they’re so thankful for their best buds. The pet parent posting our favorite big dog photo won a Big Barker of their choice, and our favorite little dog pic won a Barker Jr! We got so many cute submissions that we thought we’d share the honorable mentions along with the two winners.

Today, we received a few goodies in the mail that we wanted to share. After we donated some Big Barkers to the Allentown Police K9s last year, we were surprised and excited to receive the some amazing honors in the mail.
Here at Big Barker, we feel a natural affinity with dog rescue organizations. All of us spoil our dogs like crazy, and it breaks our hearts to know that not every dog is as safe and comfortable as our own. So on Wednesday, we loaded up the van with 26 beds and headed out to a local rescue organization for one of our biggest donation events ever.
Big Barker had the opportunity to donate some of our beds to deserving K-9 officers. We do one of these events every month, and this was one of our largest, with 23 active and retired K-9 heroes taking home a new Big Barker bed.

Big Barker was delighted to donate one of our beds for auction at the annual gala for Intermountain Therapy Animals, which took place last weekend. Intermountain Therapy Animals is an organization that provides animal-assisted therapy in the areas of physical, occupational, speech, and psychotherapy, as well as special education.
Recently, a few of us on the Big Barker team had the privilege to spend the afternoon at the Allentown Police Academy in Allentown, PA, where we donated beds to ten deserving K9s and their handlers from Allentown, Bethlehem Township, Colonial Regional, Salisbury, and Lower Saucon police departments.

Penn Vet rolled out its first-ever red carpet last night to celebrate the premiere of Animal Planet’s new reality series, Life at Vet U. The series follows six Penn Vet students as they complete their demanding fourth year of vet school and takes us behind the scenes of the lives of the dedicated professionals.
