Cobra was a Patrol/Explosives Detector Dog in the US Navy. Military Working Dog, K9 Cobra, was assigned to her first and only handler, Ashley S., in July 2009. Cobra worked as a Patrol/Explosive Detection Dog in the United States Navy. In March 2011, Cobra and Ashley deployed to Kandahar, Afghanistan for 10 months.

K9 Buddy was raised and trained in the Puppies Behind Bars program, which is a program that allows incarcerated persons to raise dogs to be used in law enforcement as well as service dogs. K9 Buddy and his handler, David Orr, served with the Loudoun County Sheriff's Office located in Virginia.
