What are the Side Effects of CBD Oil for Dogs?

Side Effects of CBD Oil For Dogs

At higher dosages, the most common side effects are:

  • GI problems, including vomiting and diarrhea
  • Prescription drugs interactions

At very high doses there is some evidence that when we activate a particular one of the two receptors, we can see some possible immunosuppression. If we activate both receptors, the CB1 and CB2 receptors, we can potentially also see immunosuppression. But these side effects are seen at dosages that are atypical.

The most important consideration when it comes to side effects of CBD oil for dogs is that they are most often dose-dependent. It's always wise to talk with your veterinarian first before beginning any type of medication or supplement.
