Is Canine Arthritis Fatal?

Is Canine Arthritis Fatal?

Well, no, not directly. It's not like say cancer, that left untreated will cause your dog's body to shut down and pass. Unfortunately, canine arthritis, if left untreated leads to suffering. And suffering will lead to poor quality of life, inability to perform their daily functions, to enjoy themselves. And at that point, we have to make the decision to let them go. We have to choose elective euthanasia. So yes, indirectly it does kill.

That's why we need to act on the first signs of pain. Discomfort, go see your vet, see what your options are. Get an action plan in place, and start modifying your dog's lifestyle. So you get the best for as long as possible.
