More Than Just a Cooling Bed
BarkerChill+ is an advanced Temperature Regulating Technology designed specifically for dog beds, ensuring your pup stays cool and comfortable. It utilizes multiple Phase Change Materials (PCMs) that activate at different temperatures, along with water-based polymers that naturally regulate heat. As your dog's body heat comes in contact with BarkerChill+, the PCMs absorb and release energy based on their melting points. This creates a cooling effect when heat is absorbed and releases warmth when needed, maintaining an optimal sleeping temperature. This continuous cycle provides lasting comfort, helping your furry friend rest better year-round.

BarkerChill+ FAQs
How does BarkerChill+? work?
Once your dog lays on their Barker bed with BarkerChill+, the energy of their body heat is absorbed in the Phase Change Material (PCMs). This absorption results in a cooling experience.
On the other hand, if your dog lies on their bed when they are cold, the PCMs sense their temperature and release the heat energy that was stored, resulting in a warming effect.
How long does BarkerChill+ last?
The energy management properties of BarkerChill+ will work for the life of your Barker bed.
How is BarkerChill+ different than "cooling gel"?
If you've ever laid on a bed with cooling gel, you've probably felt an initial cooling effect. Unfortunately, that's where the benefits ofcooling gel end. BarkerChill+ on the other hand is a temperature regulating technology that is both breathable and provides consistent temperature regulation.
What is Phase Change Material (PCM)?
Phase Change Material (PCM) is a substance with a high heat of fusion which, by melting and solidifying at certain temperatures, can store and release large amounts of energy. Think of the PCM as a jelly bean – a hard outer shell with a soft inside. The soft inside absorbs and releases heat as conditions change, for temperature control.
Does BarkerChill+ work with a waterproof liner?
Yep! If there were several layers between your dog and the BarkerChill+ mattress, the cooling effect would definitely become less noticeable. But, we haven't seen any decrease in coolness when using waterproof liner under the microsuede cover.
Is BarkerChill+ safe?
KulKote is Greenguard Gold Certified and non-toxic.
Does your warranty for BarkerChill+?
Barker Beds come with a 10-year "No Flatten" warranty, ensuring the foam retains at least 90% of its original shape and support over time. If your bed flattens or sags within this period, we’ll replace it at no cost to you.
Please note that this warranty does not cover customized products, including those with embroidery and BarkerChill+ upgrades. Additionally, these products cannot be returned, exchanged, or refunded unless defective.
