The normal cover is “moisture resistant”. It will protect the foam against drool, licking, or wet fur. The liner is only needed if a substantial amount of liquid sits on the bed long enough to seep through.

I literally ordered this, got it put on, then my senior lab had a *** *** accident in the back. I am SO glad I ordered this. No urine soaked through whatsoever. Just removed the cover, washed and dried it, and back on the Suburban it went. Let me also mention that my lab rides so comfortably with the Backseat Barker. I have 3 beds in my home plus this Backseat Barker, and we are so glad to have crossed paths with your company!

My friends dog had an accident on my bigbarker SUV bed on a road trip, so after I washed it (luckily the accident was on a side pillow) I bought this cover just in case. I was disappointed that there weren't side pillow covers also, but at least the main foam part is now protected. It's very quiet and I love how easy it went on. This is my second SUV bed purchased from big barker and I love the subtle updating that was done. Fluffier side pillows, and a way easier design to remove and put the bed foam back in. The way the waterproof cover fits is nice- not too snug so there is extra room in case you don't line it up perfectly and then it goes right back in the bed cover so easy! Great new designs. Very happy with my purchase(s) !!

I have been a Big Barker Bed customer for years! Why? They have made top of the line quality orthopedic beds and pads that have helped all my dogs live longer. Incredible. Before I found them, my dogs went through China made so called orthopedic beds and pads 4 times a year. When I got the Big Barker Beds and pads, my dogs were no longer sore and stiff when they got up. They felt better and were more energetic. I purchased a bed for every room and pads for their crates.
