Joe Hawley, former NFL player for the Atlanta Falcons and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, sold everything and decided to hit a cross country road trip with his newly rescued dog "Freedom." Hawley donated most of his belongings to charity before he left. He sold his Mercedes-Benz for a Ford Cargo van that he traveled the country with. He plans to spend the next however many months driving around the country and living out of his van — meeting new people, exploring different regions and blogging throughout the entire process!
