Father-and-Son Duo Rescued Together and Remain Inseparable

Father-and-Son Duo Rescued Together and Remain Inseparable

On a rainy day in Kentucky, two abandoned bully mixes found themselves on a doorstep of a kind woman as they sought shelter from the rain. Adonis and Titan, the homeless father-and-son duo, approached the door of a house, when the homeowner noticed them. She opened the door and the two made their way inside. They were found starving, weak, and with no home.

They took shelter in the kind homeowners residence until a local shelter could come to pick them up. Sadly the shelter did not have enough space for Adonis and Titan, so the Blind Dog Rescue Alliance (BDRA) offered to help find them a foster home. Adonis was suspected to be around 9-10 years old, blind, and the father of Titan. Titan was closer to 3 years old and was sticking by his dad’s side to help him as best he could.

The pair loved each other very much. BDRA knew they would thrive in foster care as long as they went together. The two were very bonded and often slept together in the same bed. Luckily, Adonis and Titan were able to go to the perfect foster home together. The foster mom, Jennifer Hill, welcomed the boys in with open arms. The pair was delighted to join her family.

Hill said the two are so sweet and goofy. They take turns cuddling and make her laugh every day. While the two remain bonded, they have now grown familiar enough with their new home that they can take time to explore separately. Titan used to never let his dad out of his sight, but now he feels safe enough to play on his own for a bit.

Even with their newfound independence, the two still don’t like being far from each other. Hill explained when Titan got sprayed with a skunk and had to be separated for a bath, Adonis howled the entire time. Also, when Adonis ran outside in a rainstorm for a bathroom break, Titan stood by the door worrying until he came back.

It’s safe to say they will always feel the most comfortable by each other’s side, but their new home helps to alleviate the anxiety of only having each other to rely on. The two have a great zest for life and are ready for a bully-breed loving forever home to welcome them.
