No one’s sure how Cash the dog got lost in the middle of the ocean, but fortunately the US Coast Guard was able to rescue him after he may have been paddling desperately for half an hour. The rescuers pulled alongside the dog and whistled for him to come aboard but he just kept paddling. Luckily, they were able to pull the boat closer and get the dog out of the water. In the Coast Guard’s own words, he was the best person they ever saved, and the owner said he was grateful they had found him.
