7-Year-Old Wins ASPCA Award For Rescuing More Than 1,300 Dogs From High-Kill Shelters

Roman might be small in stature and young in age, but his heart is as big as any tall or experienced person on this earth. Roman has a passion for sheltered animals, especially dogs. With the help of his mom Jennifer, he has been going to shelters to make videos of him and his four legged friends. These videos are pitches that he puts his heart into in order for these dogs to find homes. Every dog he has featured in a video has found a home! He is able to connect with the dogs and show their future owners how amazing they would be as pets. He is also a huge part of Project Freedom Ride. They take dogs from shelters with high kill rates, to ones that have lower rates. This gives the dogs a chance to find homes. The project has saved over 1200 dogs and 40 cats since 2016. Roman was deservedly named the 2018 ASPCA Kid of the Year for his outstanding work.
