The Dog Whisperer himself, Cesar Millan, brings us a nice article on a topic that just (ok, I’m going to admit it) scares me: Trimming my dogs nails. I mean, you don’t want to hurt the lil guy now, do you?
I don’t know about you, but every time I go to trim my dog’s nails, well…trimming those nails can be very scary, no matter how seasoned we are at it. This article is very helpful in many ways. It will show you not only how to hold your dog’s paw, but also how to keep them calm throughout the entire process. It’s that last part that really helped me, since this whole nail-clipping process can be quite the ordeal for both of us.
Give it a read and share it with your dog loving friends. I’m sure we’re not the only ones out there who have a hard, stressful time with clipping those nails. And as much as I would love to simply let them grow, well…it hurts when she jumps up into my lap while I’m working (yea, she just did that right now…and yes, it’s time to clip those nails; it’s been a while).
