Here at Big Barker, one of our favorite things to do is give back in our local communities to those doing incredible work each and every day.
We recently donated 4 Big Barker beds to the Hazleton Police Department K9's (and their handlers) as a thank for you for protecting their community and it's people day in and day out. We believe these pups deserve to be recognized for their efforts and absolutely deserve the very best bed to come home to after a long day's work.
While we didn't get a chance to meet these pups in person, we did get a chance to learn a bit more about each of them from their handlers!
Meet...
K9 Echo
“K9 Echo is an 8 year old German Shepherd who loves to work with his handler Corporal Schaffer. He’s a dual purpose narcotics detection and patrol dog. He is always “talking” on the radio, as heard by everyone the moment his dad picks up the mic. He’ll be 9 next month and he loves his new bed!”
Way to to go K9 Echo!
K9 Justice
“K9 Justice is a 7 year old German Shepherd who loves to work with his handler Detective Sergeant Howey. He’s a dual purpose narcotics detection and patrol dog. He likes blueberries, popcorn and destroying squeaker toys, which I’m sure he’ll be doing on his new bed!”
Keep up the great work K9 Justice!
K9 A'Sheridan
“K9 A’Sheridan is a German Shepherd who will be turning 2 years old next month. He’s been recently paired with his partner Patrolman McGinnis. He’s excited to be starting his first shift out of training in 2 short weeks. He can’t get enough out of this bed and probably only leaves it for work and dog cookie treats!”
We appreciate you K9 A'Sheridan!
A big thank you to the Hazleton Police Department for sharing these amazing K9 pups' stories with us.
