How to Build a Healthy Sleep Routine for Your Dog

Just like humans, dogs thrive on routine, and sleep plays a critical role in their overall health and happiness. From supporting their immune system to boosting mood and behavior, quality rest helps your pup stay at their best. 

1. Understand How Much Sleep Your Dog Needs

Dogs sleep more than we do!

On average:

  • Puppies need up to 18–20 hours of sleep per day

  • Adult dogs typically need 12–14 hours

  • Senior dogs may need even more rest to recover from daily activity

2. Set a Consistent Sleep Schedule
