Some of the best friendships come from the most unexpected places. For Emmy, a golden Labrador with a heart full of love, the highlight of her day is visiting her neighbor, Linda Rose. From the moment Emmy’s family moved in, she began wandering over for visits, and the bond between the two quickly grew into something special.
There was just one problem, sometimes Emmy’s visits went unnoticed. She’d nudge at the door or wait patiently on the porch, but if Linda didn’t hear her, Emmy had to head home without their daily hello. Linda often found herself checking her doorbell camera later, disappointed to realize she had missed Emmy’s stop by.
Not wanting to miss another chance to see her pup friend, Linda came up with a simple but clever solution. She replaced her standard doorbell with one set at nose height, low enough for Emmy to press herself.
It didn’t take long for Emmy to figure it out. Now, she trots up, gives the bell a push, and happily waits for her favorite human to open the door. If Linda doesn’t come right away, Emmy isn’t shy about pressing it a second (or third) time until she’s let inside.
What might seem like a small upgrade turned out to be much more. For Emmy, it means she never has to wonder if her visit will go unnoticed. For Linda, it’s a reminder of how meaningful the connection is, and how a little thoughtfulness can make life sweeter for both people and pets.
