Service Dog Receives An Honorary Diploma When His Owner Gets Her Degree


 

Griffin the service dog golden retriever, received an honorary diploma at the same time his owner received her own master’s degree for occupational therapy. The dog’s owner Brittany Hawley, suffers from a chronic pain disorder. Griffin allows Brittany to live independently, and be able to perform basic and emergency tasks for her. She explains that the emotional bond she shares with her pet was crucial to her success as a student. Miss Hawley explains how the service animal is able to assist her and follow complex commands.
