Little Pup Won't Stop Escaping Home To Have A "Me Day"

A little dog, named Pipoca, has clearly mastered the art of “me time.” From a young age, his family brought him to Dermato Vet Puro Amor, a veterinary clinic and spa in Brazil. Over time, Pipoca grew especially fond of the place and developed a close connection with its owner, Mariana Silvério Nunes Campos.

Around two years ago, something surprising happened. Pipoca escaped from home and showed up at the spa, alone. His owners were understandably alarmed, but it didn’t take long for Pipoca to make his intention clear. Now, whenever he gets the chance, he trots a couple of blocks from his house to the spa, arriving ready for pampering, sometimes once or twice a week.

His routine has become so expected that when Pipoca vanishes from home, his owners only laugh and call the spa: “He should be there soon.” His visits always begin with a warm welcome, and often end with a bath or some grooming.

Campos says Pipoca’s visits are more than just about hygiene, they underscore how comfortable and happy he feels at the spa: it’s his safe haven. In her words, caring for his health is part of it, but creating a space where he feels loved and secure is just as important.
