Opposites Attract: Tallest and Smallest Dogs Meet
They say opposites attract and in this case when the tallest and smallest dogs meet, they were right.

Earlier this month, two canine opposites made headlines and melted hearts during a one-of-a-kind playdate. Reggie, a 7-year-old Great Dane from Idaho, holds the title of World’s Tallest Living Dog at an impressive 3 feet, 2 inches tall.
Meanwhile, Pearl, a 4-year-old Chihuahua from Florida, barely reaches 3.5 inches, making her the Smallest Living Dog By Height according to Guinness World Records.
Despite the massive difference in size, these two pups had an instant connection. Their meet-up, hosted on Reggie’s family farm, was organized by Guinness and quickly became the feel-good moment of the week.
Pearl flew across the country to meet Reggie in Idaho Falls. While their owners were understandably cautious at first, any nerves quickly faded once the two dogs met.

A Record-Breaking Playdate
"He was very careful, like he didn’t step on her or anything,” said Reggie’s owner, Sam Johnson Reiss. “He was just very aware that she was there.”
Pearl’s owner, Vanesa Semler, added, "Reggie is like Pearl, in bigger size. He is so gentle, so friendly."
Though their physical differences are obvious, Reggie and Pearl share more than just Guinness titles. Both dogs have strong personalities and as their owners put it, a touch of diva energy.
Pearl enjoys picking out her outfit each morning (she literally places a paw on her favorite look), and Reggie is known for his playful and mischievous nature.

During their time together, Pearl confidently darted between Reggie’s legs and even cozied up next to him on the couch. Over the course of two days, the pups explored the farm, posed for photos, and formed what their owners believe to be a true bond.
“I think she found a good friend,” Vanesa shared.
Sam echoed the sentiment, saying: “If Reggie gives happiness to even one person, that’ll be great for him. And it’s a special way to immortalize them too.”
Reggie and Pearl’s meeting was more than a viral moment, it was a gentle reminder that connection isn’t about similarities, but shared experiences and a little kindness. Watching these two opposites become fast friends is a bright spot in an otherwise unpredictable world and we’re absolutely here for it.
