Wesley and Liesl, a pair of lovable Great Danes, are no strangers to second chances. At 8 and 6 years old, both dogs have had challenging beginnings that make their current comfort and happiness all the more meaningful.
Wesley came from a neglectful home where he was severely malnourished. Now, in his senior years, he deals with arthritis and has been on medication to help manage his discomfort.
Liesl spent the first three years of her life in the shelter system, where the hard surfaces left her with painful pressure scars on her elbows.
