Ant is on the mend! He had surgery on his elbow to remove extra cartilage and bone that was extremely painful for him. But, that isn't stopping him!
Ant is thriving in his Physical Therapy with Dr. Brunke at Veterinary Surgical Center.
Best of all, he gets to celebrate his hard work with a Bully Stick!
Ant is the very first Brave Barkers dog, which means his entire surgery and rehab process has been funded and paid for by anybody who has bought a Big Barker bed in the past.

Now, Ant is ready to recover! He is doing strength and conditioning for his elbow:
Additionally, he's getting lots of Hydrotherapy in the water treadmill. Looks like fun!
Hydrotherapy is a type of physical therapy that uses water to help dogs recover from injuries. It is especially beneficial for dogs with joint problems, as the water helps to reduce inflammation and pain. Hydrotherapy can be done in a pool or in a specially designed tub.
If using hydrotherapy in a water treadmill, dogs will typically start out by walking in the water for a few minutes. As they become stronger, they will be able to walk for longer periods of time and increase their speed.
Water is a great way for dogs to exercise without putting too much stress on their joints. It is also a great place for them to relieve pain and inflammation.
We are so proud of you, Ant! Keep up the amazing work!
