Can A Dog With Hip Dysplasia Run?

Can A Dog With Hip Dysplasia Run?

A dog with hip dysplasia can definitely run! It just depends again on how severe the disease is.

Sometimes a dog will want to run but their legs just aren't working normally because their hip joints are abnormal. These dogs can exhibit a bunny-hopping gait when they go faster than a walk. If they’re trotting or if they’re running, they look like a hopping bunny. What happens is their two legs will come together and they’ll hop forward with those back legs.
