Baxter’s Story: Finding His Spot with Barker Beds

Meet Baxter, a 9-year-old Labrador Retriever who knows a good bed when he finds one. Before switching to a Barker Bed, Baxter had a simple setup, a thin bed placed directly on a wood floor. It wasn’t very comfortable, and as a result, he didn’t use it much.

That all changed when Baxter’s family noticed something interesting. Their other dog, Henry, already had a Barker Bed. Baxter started taking over Henry’s spot whenever he could, clearly drawn to the extra comfort. But since Henry, an older dog with joint stiffness, needed his bed to rest comfortably, Baxter’s family decided it was time for him to have one of his own.

The moment Baxter got his Barker Bed, it was love at first nap. His owner says, “I gave him the police command to show him that it was his bed, and he has used it ever since.” No adjustment period needed, just instant relaxation.

Since getting his Barker Bed, Baxter has been spending a lot more time hanging out in the kitchen with his family. It’s become his favorite spot, giving him both comfort and closeness.

Baxter’s owner shared: “The cover is washable. It’s the biggest dog bed I’ve seen on the market, and it’s well made.”

For any pet owner on the fence about making the switch, Baxter’s family offers this advice: “It is an investment on a well-made bed for your dog, but don’t hesitate to do it.”
